Andrew Boff

Founding Member

Andrew Boff has been a member of the Greater London Assembly since 2008, representing all 32 boroughs and the City of London, and served as the Conservative Leader between 2012 and 2015. He has contested the Conservative nomination for the London mayoral elections five times since 2000.

Paul Cropper

Founding Member

Paul Cropper has been involved with the Conservative Party since 2005. He is the Deputy Leader of Bury Conservative Council Group and is currently the Shadow Cabinet Member for the Environment, Climate Change and Air Quality and a local councillor for Radcliffe North, Ainsworth and Bradley Fold. Paul also works as the Senior Caseworker for a ‘Blue Wall’ Conservative MP.

Isabel Dowsett

Founding Member

Isabel’s passion in life is saving animals and helping to improve animal welfare standards. She runs a charity helping transform the lives of street cats and dogs abroad. In addition to her charitable work, she has her own rescue animals including two cats, two Saanen and Boer mix pet goats and saved a flock of Shetland sheep from going to the slaughterhouse. She has been involved with the Conservative Party since 2009 and stood as a Conservative MP candidate in the 2015 General Election for the Conservative Party and served as councillor for a term of 4 years in Hertford.

Trish Gargett

Founding Member

Trish Gargett has always been a friend to the Conservative Party and decided to become a full member just over a year ago as she wanted to be involved in the changes that were made. Living in North Tyneside, she studied English Literature with Education Studies at the University of Sunderland. She is currently Conservative area representative for Wallsend and has also volunteered with her local association with campaigns as well as setting up their social media accounts.

Graham Godwin-Pearson

Graham Godwin-Pearson has been involved with the Conservative Party since 2005 in various roles and has written for think tanks and the media on environmental issues for most of this time, having visited conservation efforts in Europe, Africa, Asia and Central America. He studied Chemistry at Bath University and is a Conservative councillor in rural Somerset.

Marisa Heath

Founding Member

Marisa Heath is an animal health and welfare policy strategist, and coordinates the work of NGOs, MPs, peers and DEFRA through the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare and Animal Sector Groups. She also runs the Local Government Animal Welfare Group and has worked on various pieces of legislation and best practice for animal welfare in Westminster. She has been a Surrey County Councillor since 2006 and Deputy Leader at Runnymede Borough Council where she leads on environment and sustainability.

Alison Knight

Founding Member

Alison Knight, originally from rural Warwickshire, is a former Deputy Leader of Windsor and Maidenhead Council where she also held the Sustainability portfolio. She first stood for election for the Conservatives in 1991 and has held various roles within the Party since. Alison is passionate about animal welfare and reducing her and others’ impact on the environment. A huge animal lover, Alison went pescatarian in her twenties, then vegetarian in her thirties and went vegan in 2017. To further reduce her impact on the planet she has not bought any new clothes since May 2019.

Jamie Macfarlane

Jamie Macfarlane is the Founder and CEO of Creator Fund, a venture capital firm which supports and invests in the best student entrepreneurs across the UK. Creator Fund has teams across 24 UK universities. He was previously a political strategist working with Cambodian Democracy Movement to overthrow one of Asia's longest lasting dictatorships. He was the Conservaitve candidate for Westminster North in the 2019 General Election, and is a Board Member of the Tory Reform Group. He is a lifelong campaigner on animal welfare and has an MBA from Stanford Business School.

Lorraine Platt

Founding Member

Lorraine Platt is co-founder of the Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation, of the Blue Fox - Conservatives Against Fox Hunting and the Blue Badger and Blue Hare campaigns. Lorraine has received the IFAW Campaigner award, the RSPCA Lord Erskine Award, the CEVA Animal Welfare Finalist Award and was a finalist in the Inspiration Awards For Women for her campaigning work. She is a Board Director of Save The Asian Elephants.
