Any human being with an ounce of decency cannot fail to be moved by appalling scenes being witnessed in Ukraine following the invasion by Russian forces.
In the United Kingdom millions of individuals are doing what they can by gathering supplies to send to Ukraine and by donating money to the numerous charities who are doing their utmost to support the people still in Ukraine and refugees fleeing to Europe.
Some refugees have, sadly, had to leave behind beloved pets, or may have had to abandon them at the border. Imagine how awful it must be, being traumatised by the war, to be forced to leave your home, to witness lives, livelihoods and your country being devastated, and on top of that having to part with your beloved four-legged friend.
