Students from the University of Cambridge have voted to begin the transition of all catering at the site to plant-based food. 72% of those who voted on Monday chose to support the motion, calling for “sustainable and 100 percent plant-based” catering at university restaurants and cafes, in order to help protect the environment.
Last year, red meat was dropped from the menu at Cambridge after a similar vote.
Plant Based Universities and the Cambridge student union will now work with the catering department to substitute all meat with healthy, plant-based foods.
